Job Description:

As a Technical Marketing Consultant in the Building Construction Products Division in Cary, NC, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of customer-facing technical marketing content to support new product introductions and product updates, to drive exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate, develop and manage technical marketing materials for the Building Construction Products Division on a global level.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple construction equipment product groups to develop key core content materials.
  • Drive the creation of materials for product launches including both dealer-facing and customer-facing information.
  • Develop key product messaging, ensuring alignment and consistency across areas and channels.
  • Responsible for online product content on internal and external websites.
  • Responsible for coordination and management of all product video and photo shoots.
  • Development of interactive product overviews and videos that showcase how our division's product lines help address customers' needs.
  • Manage product content within the various Caterpillar systems and applications on a global level, including database management of technical information.
  • Ensure all product marketing materials are updated and accurate.
  • Work with key groups both within the division and the corporation around the globe to deliver materials that differentiate Caterpillar in the marketplace.
  • Represent the division on corporate initiatives related to product core content materials and processes.
  • Display an understanding of corporate processes and systems and adapt as technology changes.

  • Technical Writing: Ability to write materials for both technical and non-technical audiences; drafts, corrects and finalizes technical writing tasks independently; adheres to company documentation and quality standards that are related to technical writing.

  • Vendor/Supplier Management: Ability to build effective working relationships with counterparts in vendor or supplier's organization.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate technical information into customer-friendly language.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with various software and systems, such as content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager), project management systems (Workfront), etc.
  • Bachelor's degree combined with relevant post-grad work experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
