Technical Livestream Producer in our Los Angeles based studio, where you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding livestreams and experiences.
As a Technical Livestream Producer, you will leverage your expertise with live production software such as OBS and vMix to ensure seamless, high-quality broadcasts. You'll work with both traditional audiovisual formats-including SDI and HDMI-and IP-based technologies such as NDI and Dante to build, operate, and support multi-camera broadcast systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to implement detailed live productions from planning through post-show wrap-up.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop operational workflows, manage production schedules, coordinate technical crews, and continuously improve our livestream production capabilities. This person will be supporting a new project, working with a global sports franchise, and must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Los Angeles-based with the ability to work a flexible schedule, some nights and weekends, as needed.
- Configure, build, and support multi-camera production workflows for livestream broadcasts.
- Operate and maintain internet-based video streaming systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues before and during live productions.
- Develop and maintain production workflows that support livestream commerce initiatives.
- Attend all eBay Live events.
- Run the eBay Live console, monitor and respond to buyer questions and comments.
- Coordinate production schedules, timelines, and resource planning.
- Lead, train, hire, and mentor production staff.
- Supervise freelance and technical crews during studio and off-site productions.
- Ensure company standards are followed when handling and showcasing rare collectibles.
- Travel to off-site production locations for scouting and live event support.
- Maintain production equipment, providing schedules for maintenance, refreshment and upgrades as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- 7+ years of experience in broadcast production and livestreaming operations.
- Hands on operation of live production equipment including audio mixers, video switchers, lighting consoles, cameras and computer systems.
- History of designing, building, and supporting broadcast studio and field production systems.
- Experience crafting and maintaining technical documentation and production workflows.
- Support of remote and on-location productions, including production scouting and event setup.
- Excellent project coordination skills, including planning, scheduling, and prioritization in a multifaceted environment.
- Comfortable interacting with C-suite and senior management executives
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting in live production environments.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for content creation and production support.
- Prior work in an eCommerce or livestream commerce environment.
- Production of content in multiple video formats, including horizontal and vertical orientations, for digital and social platforms.
- Interest in or familiarity with collectibles, including trading cards, coins, comics, sneakers, luxury goods, or other collectible categories.
REQUIRED SKILLS- Advanced proficiency with OBS, vMix, or similar live production software.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual technologies, including:
- Baseband video formats (SDI, HDMI, etc.)
- IP-based production technologies (NDI, Dante, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of both Windows (PC) and macOS operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills in live production environments.
- Ability to configure and manage streaming hardware, software, lighting, and audio systems.
- Strong project management, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and perform optimally in an exciting environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to production quality and operational excellence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of teams and technical crews.
Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$71,600 - $123,400
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
