Full Job Description
Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Lead to join our growing cross-business unit execution team. This role will reside in the NAM Power Systems Execution Team and can be based out of one of Schneider Electric's design hubs, including Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; or Raleigh, NC.

The Technical Lead is accountable for the development and implementation of the overall technical solution during the execution phase of a Project, Program, or Portfolio. Their scope includes the breadth of the SE portfolio regardless of BU or geography. While primarily an execution role, the Technical Lead supports Sales, Solution Architects, Proposals, and Tendering during the sales phase of an opportunity.

What will you do:

Technical Lead responsibilities:
  • Successful execution of the technical scope at a systems level across the entire SE offer
  • Serve as a common conduit between the customer and internal technical teams for systems level technical topics across all projects
  • Supervision and monitoring of activities in accordance with the contract, statutory requirements, and applicable technical standards; ensuring a consistent standard from all technical groups
  • Ensuring the quality of the technical deliverables
  • Lead technical initiatives, such as value engineering
  • Ensuring design changes are captured by the change control process
  • Support technical coordination between internal technical teams that may include multiple BUs and geographies

What will make you successful:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering / technical field. Advanced engineering degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in Engineering / Technical Leadership within Large and Complex Projects, involving multiple business units, spanning multiple years.
  • Proven experience with power systems engineering, including medium- and high-voltage equipment such as air-insulated switchgear (AIS), gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), and related substation equipment


Certifications and Skills
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in switchgear systems, including AIS/GIS gear, protection and control systems, and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Experience with equipment selection, technical evaluation, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of power distribution systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions with customers and internal teams
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office programs, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and team success.

Travel:
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Normal work schedule is Monday to Friday but may vary based on project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional or modified working days and/or hours.
