Job Summary

The Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for the successful technical implementation of product at customer locations. Individuals in this role will lead technical implementations to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will live in the Mountain and Western region of the United States, near a major metropolitan city.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical implementation with customer counterparts (information technology, biomedical / clinical engineering / informatics)
  • Supports the implementation team to identify, schedule and solve technical installation and customization issues as they arise
  • Serves as the liaison between the customer and the Fresenius Kabi technical team for any issues that arise during the implementation
  • Engages with customer's technical groups for joint solution development
  • Participates in customer technical support team activities as needed
  • Gathers and analyzes data on the installed systems for continuous product improvement efforts
  • Coordinates closely with the Implementation Project Manager to ensure that technical activities remain on schedule throughout the project.
  • Assists and delivers product presentations, as necessary, and provides sales support to include participating in RFI/RFPs and demonstrations
  • Collaborates with cross-functional work teams (engineering, marketing, manufacturing, operations) to define streamlined customer support solutions
  • Collaborates with sales on prospect engagements, RFP responses, etc. as required
  • Travels up to 75%
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as needed
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required (Biomedical engineering degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience (medical device experience preferred)
  • FDA compliance experience is a plus
  • Deep experience with system installation and support environments in clinical settings
  • Abundant experience working with customers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience providing professional services to clinical environments
  • Experience with integrating hospital systems including EMR integration (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
  • Experience with web interfaces and APIs, used by enterprise grade systems
  • Working knowledge of Wi-Fi, networking, remote access techniques, VPNs, firewalls
  • Familiarity with SQL, report generation & databases
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for medical devices (complaint reporting, installation records, service records)
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Travel (Air/Auto) required and is based on the needs of the business
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs
  • Ability to work effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
