Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FinOps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep familiarity with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and have a strong understanding of cloud technology. The primary responsibilities of this role include cloud analysis, identifying cost efficiencies, and providing recommendations for operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, as they will be responsible for effectively communicating and presenting optimization strategies to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth cloud analysis to identify areas of optimization and cost efficiency.
- Develop a deep understanding of the technology offered by the CSP and stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights related to cloud usage and spending.- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and operational improvements based on analysis and industry best practices.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives, finance teams, and technical teams.
- Monitor and track cloud spending, identifying any discrepancies or anomalies.
- Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of cloud costs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud computing and FinOps practices.
Qualifications:

- Deep familiarity with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (CSP), such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud technology and services, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
- Proven experience in cloud analysis and optimization, with a track record of identifying cost efficiencies and operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with financial concepts and budgeting processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
