Epic Resolute Willow Sr. Analyst
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Applications Analyst is responsible to empower our community through the continuous development, deployment, and support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software. The Application Analyst supports software that is necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system. This position works on the analysis of existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality to determine if the software conforms to current health system workflow processes. The Application Analyst is a high performing individual who collaborates with business operations to understand and define system requirements to develop innovative solutions meeting the customers' needs. The Application Analyst is responsible to understand and conform to HonorHealth's project and change management methodologies and may be responsible for leading low to moderate complexity projects leveraging this framework. In addition, this position requires an on-call rotation facilitating off hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment. • Ability to troubleshoot low to moderate complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management and leadership. Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis. Analyze business operations as they relate to design decisions and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system. On an as needed basis, performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of integrated applications with minimal assistance. Design, Test, Implement and support files/systems within assigned products and scope with minimal supervision. Populates tables and databases, for a domain with multiple owners, with some assistance from Vendor and Information Technology staff. Collaborates in an integrated approach to eliminate the potential for a negative impact to our customers and patients. Responsible for maintaining set standards of application system build and database maintenance. Including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases. Assists with recommendations for standardized naming, numbering and security conventions. • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method. Develops effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support personnel. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload with minimal assistance. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs. Must be willing and able to travel to any/all HonorHealth and affiliated sites. • Assists with the change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, established by the Information Technology Department and Project Management Office for maintenance, requests and new initiatives. May lead low to moderate complexity projects as assigned. Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives. • Understands and follows established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes. • Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with HonorHealth policies and procedures in addition to the Mission, Vision and Values.
Qualifications
Epic Willow certified with 5+ years of build experience across all Willow application functionality
Understands strategies, determines business needs, and participates in planning and implementing Epic
Ability to train on and become certified in one or more relevant Epic system modules
Ability to apply knowledge of workflows to implement a system that meets business needs
Ability to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
Ability to identify problem situations and consider all perspectives in terms of scope and consequences
Ability to effectively facilitate interdisciplinary teams as assigned
Ability to work independently, handle significant responsibility, and prioritize multiple assignments
Ability to attend to detail required
Ability to demonstrate flexibility, creativity, curiosity, and assertiveness
Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with others using a variety of modes and in a complex and varied work environment

Bachelor's Degree
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirement
2-5 years healthcare experience in a technical, clinical or revenue cycle operations role
Responsibilities
Design, build, and test an assigned Epic module
Maintain documentation of business and system configuration requirements
Configure the Epic software according to decisions made by SMEs such as templates, drop-down boxes and pick lists
Complete assigned team tasks as documented in the work plan
Report status of task completion to assigned Team Lead
Provide timely alerts about endangered milestones and deliverables
Analyzes, develops, configures, tests and implements Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and related analytics, with minimal supervision
Perfoms system configuration functions using on-line architectural tools with minimal supervision
Prepares detailed program specifications and flowcharts, and coordinates the system's installation with the user department
Provides status reports to management when required
Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed
Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solutions
Acts as user liaison between clinical or business departments and Information Systems; providing domain expertise and experience for multiple interacting healthcare departments
Works closely with operational stakeholders to properly engineer workflow
Leads others to adhere to established industry best practices, standards, and quality
Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other City of Hope employees
