Job Title: Ink Technical Service Rep
Location: Wisconsin area
Shift: 1st Shift, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay: Based on Experience
Travel: 70% and overnight, including air/flight
In this role, you will provide dedicated technical ink support to our valued customers in [insert overage areas]. In this role, you'll be pivotal in identifying and addressing the technical and continuous improvement needs of our assigned customers, ensuring the seamless delivery of our products and services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Leads and participates in process improvement initiatives with customers and Sun employees. This requires dedication of significant time, as well as Sun Chemical resources to support the customer through major operational improvement projects including press throughput, decreased color down time, inventory, and work-off management, print quality improvements. Will participate regularly with the end use customer as our customer arranges, to provide expertise for successful graphic campaign changes and launches, and to provide expertise in job planning.
- Makes product selection decisions in accordance with Product Management based on end use application and conducts appropriate trial related activities. Conducts research to develop custom products, coordinates with internal product management to define product recommendations, provides fitness for use guidance that aligns with end use application, required specifications, and customer process.
- Supplies training needs to customer employee base, especially where it pertains to performance of ink blending, inventory, work off, and other basic functions of ink blending inhouse.
- Reporting field activity within the reporting tool (salesforce.com). Completes technical call reports and trial reports as needed, including both internal and external documentation.
- Submits, and follows up regional color match lab requests.
- Provides emergency backfill support for our products in case of sudden loss of customer supplied blending.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- 5-10 years of ink industry experience
- Experience with Kepner Tregoe, Six Sigma, SunMatch
- Industry laboratory and press equipment
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- High level of pressroom and printing process knowledge
