Summary
The team lead will support breast/GYN/urology/plastics/endo service lines.
As a member of the patient care team, the Team Leader demonstrates proficiency in clinically sound evidence based practice. He/she is recognized as a resource, preceptor, and role model. The Team Leader must meet all the requirements of the RN II. In addition he/she coordinates the activities of the assigned surgical specialty service. This includes monitoring and providing for the needs of individual surgeons according to the surgical procedures. The Team Leader oversees the daily surgical schedule to assess instrumentation needs in addition to equipment and supply inventory. He/she exhibits a mastery of nursing functions needed to advise, mentor and evaluate other patient care team members.
