Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

As a part of management, the Team Leader manages assigned aircraft and team members so that the paint application is applied in a manner that meets or exceeds Dassault Falcon's quality while maintaining costs under the allocated budgets and within schedules. To accomplish these responsibilities the Team Leader directs the efforts of team members to perform diverse tasks. The Team Leader is the official management contact for their team members.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
  • Effectively manage your Team, Aircraft, Business and Change to ensure that Company goals are met.
  • Team Management
    • Plan, assign, train and lead a team to complete a high quality aircraft within the allocated budget and on or ahead of schedule.
    • Ensure team conformance to existing Company policies and Departmental procedures.
    • Administer vacations, EO, sick time usage, etc.
    • Maintain good team relationships by communicating with the team.
    • Provide the team with a clean and safe work environment.
  • Aircraft Management
    • Ensure that the aircraft is built per the requirements described in Planning, Engineering and Quality documents and to FAA and Company quality standards.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that needed materials are available on schedule and as required.
    • Prepare detailed shift turnovers for the oncoming Team Leader so they understand the aircraft status and what is required.
    • Utilize inspection authority to inspect work completed by team as defined in the inspection delegation.
  • Business Management
    • Manage the man-hours and costs to meet or improve upon the Company established budget.
    • Use Company assets such as operating expenses, tools, equipment, wages, scrap, etc. efficiently to complete the aircraft.
    • Accurately charge work hours to the appropriate function numbers.
    • Utilize support personnel such as Expeditors, Planners, Liaison Engineers and Inspectors effectively to keep aircraft moving according to the Master Schedule.
  • Change Management
    • Develop, plan and implement new strategies to improve/change existing process to reduce cost, work-hours, and/or flow time while maintaining Dassault Quality.

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
  • As assigned by Manager.


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 5 years of aircraft painting experience.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability to read, write and understand technical information contained in aircraft maintenance manuals, vendor documentation and engineering documents and to use this information to assist team members in all paint processes.
  • Ability to solve problems and thereby facilitate achievement of the departmental mission.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations that address aircraft maintenance (FAR Part 43 & 145).
  • Ability to climb 20-foot work stands with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires walking, climbing and standing for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Joint Airworthiness Authority (JAA) maintenance requirements.
  • Experience with the Falcon aircraft paint processes and standards.
  • Computer literacy with experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work location for this position is in an aircraft paint and preparation hangar environment. Conditions in both areas vary with the weather in Central Arkansas.
  • Involves exposure to chemicals and dust levels set by OSHA standards.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position because it includes as part of the essential job duties operating equipment and tools on a routine basis. Additionally, the duties of this position concern the service and completion of aircraft, and overall airworthiness of the aircraft. This position is one in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety of this employee and others, the employee must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while performing safety activities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $70,738.00 and $94,502.50 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines. This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
