You will play an important role in a dynamic and passionate team, collaborating on a variety of projects of all sizes and scopes in the environment, renewable energies, hydroelectricity, transportation, materials, buildings and climate change markets. Your main responsibilities
  • Provide consulting services in conjunction with geotechnical engineering and/or construction quality control and material testing;
  • Enhance, develop and mobilize the team of professionals and technicians;
  • Plan, assign, coordinate and supervise work, projects and activities performed by the team;
  • Chair periodic communication and meetings for the team;
  • Help manage the training plans and career development of employees;
  • Provide effective leadership, direction and support for members of the team;
  • Assist in recruitment of professionals;
  • Work with project managers to ensure that projects are set up and executed in full compliance with quality standards and regulations;
  • Identify areas for potential improvement and direct the implementation of changes;
  • Prepare and review proposals for geotechnical engineering projects, including scope of work and fees, including materials testing related projects as required;
  • Provide the role of Quality Assurance Reviewer for Geotechnical and/or Construction Quality Control projects, designs and deliverables;
  • Build and/or support client relationships at the appropriate level, working in conjunction with senior leadership team;
  • Participate in regional strategic planning meetings;
  • Implement up-to-date business processes;
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety policies.


What makes you unique
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering;
  • Experience of managing a portfolio or projects and a team of project engineers and/or civil technicians;
  • University Degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation in Ontario is required;
  • Superior communication skills, written and spoken;
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout SWO;
  • An interest in and sensitivity to occupational health and safety.

The salary range for this position is $96,159 to $126,209 CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. This range represents a realistic and good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.

Compensation may also include a comprehensive benefits package, performance incentives, or bonus eligibility depending on role level and business unit. We aim to foster transparency, respect candidate time and ensure equitable compensation aligned with our company values.
