Job Title: Team Leader - Off Shift

Work Pattern: FT - Off Shift working schedule is Monday through Thursday night, 7:30pm to 6:00am with overtime on Friday nights.

Working Location: Aiken, S.C.

What you will be doing?
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of hourly machine operators and assemblers engaged in the manufacturing of heavy-duty engine components.
  • Observe work and monitor gauges, quality, standard time and other indicators to ensure that team members conform to production standards.
  • Identify and reduce non-value-added work and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards.
  • Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.


Basic Requirements:
  • Achieve points for Level 4 in the Skilled Based Pay Training Matrix
  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent associate's degree; OR 8 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of SIEMENS control systems, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Advanced ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MTU DD products, policies and procedures
  • Proficient in PC and use of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge of SAP system.
