Summary

The TBM Tunnel Engineer will provide technical and operational support for tunnel boring activities on a major railway infrastructure project involving twin TBM-driven tunnels, cross passages, precast concrete segmental lining, waterproofing systems, and deep shaft works.

The role will focus on monitoring TBM performance, excavation parameters, ground conditions, production rates, segment installation, annular grouting, and material handling operations. The selected candidate will work closely with TBM crews and the survey, quality, safety, and construction teams to ensure tunnelling activities are performed safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and operational support for TBM tunnelling activities.
  • Monitor and analyze TBM performance and excavation parameters.
  • Monitor ground conditions and identify potential impacts on tunnelling operations.
  • Track production rates and support the optimization of TBM performance.
  • Monitor precast segment installation and lining operations.
  • Support and monitor annular grouting activities.
  • Coordinate material handling activities associated with tunnelling operations.
  • Coordinate closely with TBM crews, survey, quality, safety, and construction teams.
  • Prepare shift reports and production reports.
  • Identify technical or operational issues and support troubleshooting and optimization of tunnelling works.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 10 hours per day, including a 1-hour lunch break.


Requirements
