Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Director, the Pharmacy Services Manager plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the provision of pharmacy services to The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) patients, employees, and medical staff as well as portions of Firelands Regional Health System (Pharmacy 340B Program and Health Plan Pharmacy Benefits Design). Ensures compliancy with the Food and Drug Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and meets the standards of the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). The Pharmacy Services Manager also serves as the Primary Contact (PC) for the 340B program for The Bellevue Hospital and works closely with the Authorized Official (AO). Monitors and controls revenue and expense budgets, allocates and manages the human resources of the department, and is responsible for implementation of Firelands Regional Health System policies, as well as development of departmental policies and procedures. Provides a safe and effective drug distribution system, a cost-effective pharmaceutical purchasing program, and comprehensive dissemination of drug information to patients and staff. Supports the mission and philosophy of Firelands Health.
What you will need:- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school; M.S./M.B.A or 340B ACE preferred.
- Must be licensed by the State of Ohio and have at least 3 years of managerial experience in a progressive medical center pharmacy environment.
- Ability to read and write small letters and numbers and perform complex arithmetic and financial applications.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in both written and oral form.
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
- Required to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes.
- Required to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms.
- Required to achieve all departmental goals and competencies while actively contributing to the department's ongoing strategic initiatives.
- Complete all required organizational and departmental requirements-including, but not limited to, fit testing, vaccinations, health pillars, and CareLearning, within the allotted timeframe.
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.
