Full Job Description
Wiss is actively seeking a client-centric Tax Partner who demonstrates extensive experience within business tax ideally serving in a consultative manner with business owners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical tax while providing exceptional client service. Core Responsibilities: • Act as a trusted advisor to family-owned businesses, delivering sophisticated tax planning, compliance, and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of real estate clients. • Lead client engagements with a hands-on approach, ensuring technical excellence and proactive communication. • Oversee complex partnership tax compliance, including preparation and review of partnership returns, allocations, basis calculations, and multi-tiered entity structures. • Develop and implement tax strategies that support clients' long-term business goals, including succession planning, entity structuring, and transaction support. • Collaborate with fellow partners and firm leadership to shape strategic direction, drive growth, and enhance service offerings. • Mentor and develop high-performing tax professionals, fostering a culture of technical rigor, accountability, and client-first thinking. • Stay abreast of evolving tax legislation and industry trends, translating insights into actionable guidance for clients and the firm. • Identify business development opportunities and attend industry-specific networking events to facilitate a growing prospect pipeline and strengthening the Wiss brand. Qualifications: • CPA required; MST preferred • Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, with significant exposure to small to mid-market clients across diverse industries (Manufacturing, Engineering, Real Estate, Consumer Packaged Goods, etc). • Deep technical expertise in partnership taxation, real estate transactions, and developing tax planning strategies • Extensive experience reviewing complex partnership returns • Prior experience leading, motivating and developing a team of Tax professionals • Demonstrate polished written and presentation skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients #LI-HYBRID
