Full Job Description
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team - a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Here, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, united by a shared commitment to making a different for our clients, our communities, and one another.

Your role:

  • Review of a wide range of personal and corporate tax engagements.
  • Provide daily guidance/support, coaching and development of firm staff with respect to tax knowledge and matters.
  • Research of tax issues and preparation of memoranda.
  • Participate in special tax engagements.
  • Provide client tax planning services.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical sessions to firm staff.
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships and identify client service opportunities.


What you bring to the table:

  • Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE).
  • Successful completion of/or in the process of completing the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and/or Master of Taxation Course.
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty.
  • Robust technical knowledge of Canadian tax related issues and of GAAP requirements for tax provisions.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills.
  • Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and demonstrated ability to work with other's effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to provide value-added service to clients and strong understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment including related deadlines. Ability to effectively pivot between tasks, prioritize and manage deliverables to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience working with owner managed businesses considered an asset.
