Full Job Description
The Tax Manager is responsible for leading Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries' tax operations, compliance, reporting, planning, and audit support activities. This role oversees both direct and indirect tax matters, including income tax, transfer pricing, sales and use tax, personal property tax, and related corporate reporting requirements.

The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role in developing and implementing scalable tax processes, strengthening internal controls, and partnering with Finance, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure tax compliance across a rapidly growing global organization.

This position reports to the Director of Accounting and is a key part of the Global Controllership Organization and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead and manage U.S. and international tax compliance, accounting, reporting, and audit activities, including income tax, sales and use tax, personal property tax, transfer pricing, and other indirect tax obligations.
  • Prepare key tax deliverables, including tax provisions, tax reporting packages, legal entity forecasts, tax roll forwards, and tax-related general ledger reconciliations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and Danaher policies.
  • Drive the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing management of sales and use tax reporting processes, including tax automation initiatives, ERP and tax engine integrations, nexus evaluations, exemption certificate management, and multi-state filing compliance.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, IT, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to develop scalable tax processes, strengthen internal controls, improve reporting accuracy, and support business initiatives through effective tax planning and risk management.
  • Lead tax process improvement initiatives utilizing the Danaher Business System, support federal, state, local, and international tax audits, and maintain documentation, procedures, and controls that ensure sustainable compliance and operational excellence.


The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
  • Prefer 7+ years of progressive tax experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or both.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations, including income tax, sales and use tax compliance, tax accounting, and GAAP reporting.
  • Experience leading or supporting sales and use tax reporting, indirect tax compliance, tax technology implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with ERP and financial systems, including SAP or similar platforms, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, project management, and cross-functional collaboration in a complex business environment.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • CPA certification and experience working in a multinational corporate tax environment.
  • Experience with tax automation and reporting tools, including Vertex, Avalara, OneSource, or similar sales and use tax solutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading tax process improvement, ERP implementation, or indirect tax transformation projects within a complex organization.

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-$140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
