Full Job Description
In this role, you will work directly with clients, manage tax engagements, and help develop tax professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical tax expertise with effective leadership, communication, and client-service skills.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance services for partnerships and not-for-profit organizations within the affordable housing and community development industry.
  • Provide tax compliance services for corporations and individuals within the real estate industry.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering timely, responsive, and exceptional service that exceeds client expectations.
  • Assist with managing, developing, and mentoring professional tax staff.
  • Review federal and state tax returns prepared by tax staff.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and monitor the progress and quality of tax engagements, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Tax Seniors, Tax Managers, and firm leadership to manage workflow and support the development of tax personnel.
  • Research complex federal and state tax matters, apply findings to client engagements, and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal team members.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Active CPA license.
  • At least five years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of federal and state taxation, including strong tax research skills.
  • Strong team-building, delegation, and workflow-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to providing high-quality client service.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and solutions-focused in demanding situations.
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a team-oriented, collaborative management environment.
  • Proficiency with professional tax preparation software; experience with CCH ProSystem fx or CCH Axcess is preferred.
  • Availability to work approximately 60 70 hours per week during peak tax season (January - April).
