SummaryOversee and manage the daily administration of tax filing delivery for assigned legal entities including distributions of tax remittances according to tax jurisdiction guidelines. Manage client delivery across Tax filing Shared Services, directly and indirectly through team colleagues. Proactively manage client accounts to mitigate client escalations. Responsible for developing colleagues in both tax filing knowledge and client facing delivery.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:- Oversee overall client delivery and satisfaction in Canadian tax filing services
- Act as primary point of contact for client escalations; resolve issues with urgency and accuracy
- Respond to client communications and escalate complex issues when needed
- Ensure timely, accurate communication to clients and internal Strada teams
- Represent Tax Filing Shared Services (TFSS) in client meetings, providing updates and education on processes and policies
- Liaise with clients and internal payroll teams on tax filing matters
- Educate clients and provide subject matter expertise in Canadian payroll tax filing
- Mentor, coach, and manage team members; support performance and accountability
- Coordinate and deliver training for new hires and new processes
- Lead or support the development, maintenance, and communication of SOPs
- Support day-to-day tax filing operations, including oversight of third-party suppliers
- Approve and manage task checklists; monitor the checklist queue
- Coordinate and support interface testing and implementation for updates and new clients
- Perform variance analysis; escalate or investigate as needed
- Review and validate bank setups to ensure proper processing of payments
- Track and communicate "Applied for" statuses for agency registrations
- Provide clients with penalty and interest reports as needed
- Monitor tasks and audit outputs to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Lead and support implementation of process improvements
- Conduct and communicate Root Cause Analyses (RCA); support downstream corrective actions
- Use metrics to track performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement
- Research and support resolution of compliance and regulatory issues
- Promote tax filing best practices and ensure alignment with the team's point of view
- Apply strong tax knowledge and problem-solving skills across all responsibilities
Education and Experience- High school diploma required; relevant work experience required
- 5+ years in Canadian payroll tax filing
- 3+ years people management experience
- 2+ years client interaction and relationship management
- 2+ years experience with payroll tax filing software (MasterTax preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll, tax, and CRA regulations
- Advanced understanding of regulatory and legislative guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technical skills

Salary Pay Range
Minimum - Maximum:
$74,340.00 - $138,060.00
