We are looking for a licensed CPA to join a growing accounting and advisory firm supporting high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, trusts, and estates.

This position goes beyond traditional tax preparation. You will work directly with clients to handle complex tax matters, identify planning opportunities, and contribute to broader strategies involving estate planning, retirement, investments, and long-term wealth preservation.

This is a strong fit for a CPA who wants meaningful client exposure and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded tax and wealth advisory professional.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Lead year-round tax planning, projections, and quarterly estimated tax strategies.
  • Analyze client financial situations to identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities.
  • Research tax regulations and translate changes in tax law into practical client recommendations.
  • Support fiduciary, trust, and estate tax matters, including related planning and compliance.
  • Work with clients on retirement, succession, estate, and wealth-planning considerations.
  • Participate in client meetings and explain tax strategies in a clear, practical manner.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Partner with senior professionals on complex tax and advisory engagements.
  • Manage multiple client accounts, deadlines, and deliverables throughout the year.
  • Review workpapers and tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Stay current on tax law, accounting developments, and planning strategies.

Requirements
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and business entities.
  • Experience with partnership, trust, estate, and fiduciary taxation strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state taxation.
  • Strong interest in moving beyond compliance into tax planning and wealth advisory.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator who can explain complex tax matters to clients.
  • Strong relationship-building and client-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during tax season.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Oradell, NJ.

Benefits
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company contribution.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Continuing education and professional development.
  • Support for CPA licensing and ongoing professional training.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced tax and advisory professionals.
  • Exposure to sophisticated tax, estate, retirement, and wealth-planning strategies.
  • Significant client interaction and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Career growth within an expanding accounting and advisory practice.
