We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Consultant focused on Future Talent to join our growing campus recruiting team at Stantec. Our team is fast-paced, innovative, and focused on driving a campus recruiting strategy that will position our business for long-term success.

We are looking for Talent Acquisition Consultant who wants to be part of a purpose-driven organization that is focused on helping our clients, employees, colleagues, and communities thrive. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for interfacing with one of our five business operating units and collaborating within a team environment to support the business in full cycle recruiting activities. This role is for an 18-month contract (benefits eligible). Our people are Stantec's most valuable resource, and by joining our team you will support the successful execution of business and talent attraction strategies through effective sourcing and hiring in North America. This position is geared towards a highly personable, client-focused professional with demonstrated subject matter expertise in the hiring process, who can provide coaching and guidance on staffing-related items in addition to full cycle recruiting for the opportunities they directly own.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full life cycle talent acquisition process for undergraduate campus recruitment for internships and co-ops.
  • Use different sourcing methods to attract a diverse pipeline of talent.
  • Manage university relationships for assigned regions, (including the administration of rank and match programs - Canada) and building on-campus IDE relationships.
  • Plan and host on-campus and onsite events, report on upcoming events, and drive participation in partnership with our HR Client Services groups.
  • Leverage reporting from talent acquisition systems to report on application and hiring trends at target schools.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with regional HR teams and regional leaders.
  • Keep clients (hiring managers, HR business partners or colleagues) updated on progress through the campus recruiting life cycle.
  • Support campus event coordination and collateral, including career fair event logistics, spend tracking, inventory management, and display maintenance.
  • Support the development and distribution of campus program materials.
  • Leverage school champions and local resources such as the Developing Professional Groups.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across HR Talent and Client Services to deliver an effective candidate to employee experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for intern hiring for an assigned Business Line/Business Operating Unit (BOU).

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • An understanding of campus processes, administration, and schedules in North America.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with various stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • A strong team player, comfortable with collaborating and supporting others during fluctuating workloads.
  • Strong listening skills with ability to translate issues into actionable solutions.
  • Aptitude for technology. Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) or other ATS or CRM experience is an asset.
  • Ability to organise virtual and in-person events.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Experience with social media.
  • Ability to navigate a large organization and identify stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to adapt to different communication styles and present important information to various audiences.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Travel may be required.

Pay Range:
• Locations Outside of Lower Mainland - BC & Various locations in Ontario-$65,700.00 - $95,300.00 Annually
• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$69,600.00 - $101,000.00 Annually

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) will have access to health, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health care spending account, wellness spending account, group registered retirement savings plan, employee stock purchase program, group tax-free savings account, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid time off.
