HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

Location

This position can be based out of our Lenexa, KS or Lone Tree, CO office.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring leaders to deeply understand role requirements, team dynamics, and long-term business objectives.
  • Consult and advise managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices to shape effective hiring strategies.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the process.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining timely communication, transparency, and professionalism at every stage.
  • Negotiate offers strategically, balancing candidate expectations with organizational goals to secure top talent.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive networking, referrals, and engagement with passive candidates.
  • Leverage creative sourcing strategies, including social media, niche job boards, and industry events, to attract diverse talent.
  • Analyze and report recruitment metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of talent acquisition trends, incorporating innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies into hiring practices.
  • Champion employer branding initiatives, ensuring the organization is positioned as an employer of choice in the marketplace.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in corporate or agency recruiting, ideally focused on Engineering or Construction.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the engineering and construction sector and its unique staffing challenges.
  • Skills: Strong communicator, relationship builder, and strategic thinker.
  • Tools: Comfortable with ATS systems and modern recruiting platforms.
  • Drive: Organized, adaptable, and ready to deliver results in a collaborative team environment. #LI-SM1

Other Requirements:
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
• May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.

Base Compensation: 85,000 - 100,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
