Standard Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will serve as the primary technician/integration member for the MDAC/9G program on the Coast Guard Sites Team, overseeing hardware installation, de-installation, and modifications while providing multi-level support across lab equipment configurations, software groups, test operations, and engineering design. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls) in a closed-loop, mission-critical environment; diagnosing and repairing Oasis blade servers, Cisco switches/servers, tactical consoles, and related cabinets; and authoring, updating, and maintaining SOPs and technical manuals to ensure knowledge continuity and rapid issue resolution. Flexibility to work various shifts and weekend overtime is required.
Basic Qualifications- Operational (shipboard) maintenance experience and/or military/civilian technical training related to this position may be considered.
- Familiar with troubleshooting/repair practices
- Must be a team player with excellent verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work centers.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be willing to work overtime and shift work (including weekends) as directed by immediate manager.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance at the SECRET level.
Desired Skills- Knowledge of Aegis system equipment elements and operational enhancements.
- Knowledge of equipment dispositions and Lab Stand ups (Rack & Stack).
- Knowledge of Visio, and Cable Block Diagrams.
- Property Management (PROP) experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Products: Excel, Word, Access and Power Point Software, as well as UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
- Test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter) experience.
- The ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
- Problem solver with ability to shift priorities as needed.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $67400.00 - $125200.00
