Job Title: Systems Verification Engineer

Rate of Pay: $135,000 - $155,000
Job Duties: Design and lead test method and equipment development, production, and qualification projects for J&J Surgical Robotics system. Develop tests, tools, and processes essential to the preparation and execution of design verification. Develop tests that holistically verify the safety and efficacy of the Surgical Robotics system. Execute equipment qualification, fixture qualification (IQ/OQ), test method validation (Gage R&R), script development, analysis of data, and non-product software validation (NPSW) for design verification. Ensure produced test documentation is aligned with FDA design control processes (21 CFR820.30) and IEC 62304. Work closely with engineers from all functional teams including R&D (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Robotics and Control), systems architecture, and quality engineering to guide requirements and product development for testability. Develop testing/analysis software scripts in Python, MATLAB, C++, or other scripting languages.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Systems Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Systems Verification Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires experience with:
1. Developing comprehensive test plans that encompass objectives, methodologies, and timelines;
2. Analyzing specifications and requirements to ensure testing aligns with intended outcomes;
3. Selecting appropriate testing methods based on timing, cost, accuracy, and other customer requirements;
4. Analog and digital circuitry, including electrical testing tools;
5. Creating customized testing equipment and fixtures for specific components or devices;
6. Python, Linux/Ubuntu and Version control (Bitbucket); and
7. Leveraging analytical approaches, including statistical analysis and motion analysis.
