Full Job Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of complex systems throughout development, integration, testing, and delivery. This role will work across engineering, manufacturing, program, and customer teams to identify issues early, support root cause and corrective action efforts, and ensure systems meet customer, technical, and quality requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement test plans and test cases for system-level testing and validation.
  • Identify inspection and test equipment needs and maintain required calibration records and certifications.
  • Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to support integration and communication between system components.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and develop appropriate test and validation strategies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and support the development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Identify potential project and quality risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts to project timelines, performance, and deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide quality and testability input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Develop, document, and verify project entrance and exit criteria to ensure technical specifications, quality requirements, and performance benchmarks are met before progression to the next project phase.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements supporting government and aerospace programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and applicable internal quality processes.
  • Support customer-facing quality activities and communicate technical and quality information as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in systems quality engineering, system-level testing, quality engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing or executing test plans, test cases, inspection plans, or validation activities.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze system-level quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Ability to communicate technical and quality information effectively across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. a71324b(a)(3).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience working directly with customers on technical or quality-related matters.
  • Experience supporting government or defense programs.
  • Experience participating in design reviews, risk management, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.


Physical Requirements

  • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
