Position Overview:The selected Modeling and Simulation Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis - Data Analysis and Tools Team. This role is responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Basic Qualifications:- Associate Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 0 years of related experience. Applications in advance of graduation may be considered, but are contingent on the successful completion of a bachelors.
- Experience with software languages such as Python, MATLAB, Git, and Bitbucket
- Understanding of software development frameworks and tools such as Agile and the Atlassian tool suite
- The ability to neutrally assess and decompose open-ended technical problems into action plans with defined success criteria
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope US Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience such as internships in any of the following...
- Supporting missile defense programs such as GWS
- Performing technical analysis of missile defense systems
- Developing analysis tools, analysis pipelines, or debugging software systems
- Working with data structures, developing trade studies, or performing performance assessments
Primary Level Salary Range: $72,700.00 - $109,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
