Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Systems Expert, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

The Systems Expert, ERP plans, coordinates, and supervises the work of a technical unit responsible for providing application support for designing, configuring, testing, and system administration of various areas of the ERP application modules/system, including finance, human resources, payroll, or retirement functions, for the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) and participating school districts and charter schools.

The current vacancy in this classification will be focused on new initiatives primarily focused on HCM projects. The largest project on the roadmap is focused on Time and Labor, Payroll and Absence Management.

Make a Difference in one of our PeopleSoft Technology Jobs at SDCOE as a Hands-on Leader of PeopleSoft Technology to Shape Strategic Decisions.The PeopleSoft Team at SDCOE is part of the Integrated Technology Services division and is currently utilizing PeopleSoft in a Hosted environment. There are approximately 50 LEAs using the PeopleSoft Portal, HCM and Financial applications. The FSCM application consists of GL, AR, AP, KK, Purchasing, Inventory, Asset Management, Billing, and Time/Expense. The HCM application consists of HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time/Labor, Absence Management, ESS modules.

SDCOE is located in San Diego, CA. The current assignment is part of the Services and Solutions PeopleSoft Support department in the Integrated Technology Services division. Please note that this position is currently a remote position, and we may have requirements for on-site meetings for projects and/or direct customer (LEAs) meetings

Please note that while this current assignment is for the location listed, employees of SDCOE may be administratively reassigned to other locations based on organizational needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position also requires two (2) years of Peoplesoft application lead experience; two (2) full life cycles for PeopleSoft implementations on large complex projects; two (2) PUM updates; three (3) years of experience in PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5X or above and two (2) years of PeopleSoft Testing Framework experience preferred.

Functional subject matter expert (SME) with the relevant applications and modules below as well as good PeopleSoft product foundational background.

The functional experience must include the following:
PeopleSoft Time and Labor
Payroll
HR
Other modules preferred but not required include:
Absence Management

Type of examination(s) for this classification:

Applications will be reviewed, and candidates whose qualifications most closely match the classification requirements will be invited to participate in a competitive examination process. The examination process may consist of one or more of the following examination components: a multiple-choice examination, an oral examination, a written examination, a performance examination, and/or a technical evaluation of the application.
