This role is for functional management of 10-15 systems engineers in System Design and Integration supporting RQ-4 Systems Engineering. The selected candidate should expect to spend approximately 15% of their time in this role with the other 85% coming from existing program SOW. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THE FOLLOWING: • Lead a section of systems engineers (10-15 personnel) in various engineering disciplines • Instruct, mentor and champion agile concepts and processes • Be responsible for hiring, development, training, and retention of section talent. Hiring will include university and experienced hiring. • Provide leadership and direction to team members and manage employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers) • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the organization including employee movement and balancing of resources among programs, and resolving critical/urgent program/technical issues. • Promote the professional development of the Systems Engineering team and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement. • Provide clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of combined technical and management experience, or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of combined technical and management experience. • Experience in at least one of the following areas: Operations Analysis, Modeling and Simulation, Systems Analysis, System Architecture, Mission Integration or Model Based Systems Engineering, Requirements Decomposition, IFC, other applicable SE competency • Must have a current DoD Secret clearance and a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 5 years • Ability to obtain SAP access. Primary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
