The Long Range Radars (LRR) department within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Systems Engineering Cross Product Team (CPT) Lead to support the GLOBUS program. In this role, you will interface directly with Chief Engineers, IPT Leads, Program Managers, other discipline CPT Leads, and external customers to ensure the technical, schedule, and cost success of Systems Engineering deliverables. You will lead the technical execution of all Systems Engineering scope, including capability development, defect identification and root cause analysis, technical program reviews, team development, and the active management of risks and opportunities. Additional responsibilities include preparing and delivering Directorate Estimate at Completion (EACs), contributing to Directorate-level proposals, managing staffing projections, and overseeing EVMS tracking.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical leadership for the GLOBUS Systems Engineering team, including driving SMR analysis, prioritizing and resolving issues, leading technical discussions with partners and customers, and setting clear technical objectives for the program.

  • Oversee the execution of all Systems Engineering scope for the GLOBUS SE CPT by assigning tasks, providing hands-on technical reviews of deliverables, and fostering the technical development of the team to meet both current and future program requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software, Hardware, Supply Chain, Quality, and program leadership, through focused technical integration and the early identification and resolution of cross-discipline challenges.

  • Support new business opportunities by clearly defining the Systems Engineering scope for proposals and estimates and ensuring strong technical input during the capture process.

  • Manage critical program support activities, including staffing projections, risk and opportunity tracking, and EVMS reporting, to maintain effective technical oversight.

  • This position is an onsite role based in Woburn, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience leading a technical team while managing execution of technical, cost, and schedule performance.

  • Experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development, and/or Integration and Test.

  • Professional experience in the aerospace and defense industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead failure investigations and perform root cause analyses.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to customers and senior leadership.

  • Expertise in schedule development, action item management, requirement change management, and progress tracking.

  • Proposal development experience, including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

  • Familiarity with navigating large organizations and collaborating across disciplines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
