THE WORK
The scope of this effort encompasses tasks that provide USCYBERCOM with the sustained ability to fulfill its mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests in collaboration with domestic and international partners. These tasks include coordinating, synchronizing, deconflicting, and integrating operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations.

We are seeking professionals interested in a variety of responsibilities including:
• Cyber Defense Incident Responder
• Cyber Operations Planner
• Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner
• Knowledge Manager
• Program Support Specialist
• Systems Engineer
• Technical Writer

The anticipated award of this effort is Fall 2026.

WHO YOU ARE
• As a Systems Engineer Senior you will provide Cyberspace Operations Support Services (COSS) aligned with the following core disciplines: Cyberspace Operations, Cyberspace Planning, Cyberspace Training and Exercises, Strategy / Policy / Doctrine Development and Campaign, Assessments, Information Technology (IT) / Communications, Business Area Support and Project Management Engagement Activities.
• You will provide the customer with the sustained ability to fulfill its mission to direct, synchronize, and coordinate cyberspace planning and operations to defend and advance national interests in collaboration with domestic and international partners. These tasks include coordinating, synchronizing, deconflicting, and integrating operational planning efforts for full-spectrum cyberspace operations.
• You will meet the evolving cyberspace operations mission in support of the Joint warfighter.

Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma plus 13 years of relevant experience is required OR Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 10 years of relevant experience is required OR Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience:
- Led system architecture design and engineering for complex environments, translating mission and business objectives into clear technical requirements and solution concepts.
- Directed end-to-end system integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms, domains, and with cybersecurity, network, and software teams to achieve secure designs.
- Performed advanced system analysis, modeling, and performance optimization while establishing and enforcing engineering standards, processes, and best-practice guidelines.
- Provided technical guidance and mentorship to junior and journeyman engineers, fostering skill development and consistent delivery quality.
- Presented technical solutions, associated risks, and strategic recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
- Must possess a current U.S. TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Desired skills
• Expertise with system-architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF).
• Strong knowledge of cyber-security principles, networking, and software integration.
• Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with configuration management, version control, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $142,000 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
