- Stabilized Turret Drive Systems
- Integrated Weapon Systems (full turret from mechanical design to fire control electronics and software)
- Ammunition Handling
- Data Control and Distribution
- Power Management and Distribution
We are looking for a
System Engineer at our location in Santa Barbara, California. We provide sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development,
Here's what you'll be working on day to day:- Be responsible for the system design of environmentally robust, high reliability liner and rotary actuators.
- Evaluate the system design using a variety of engineering disciplines to include mechanical, structural dynamics, electrical, thermal and rotary motion leading to development of integrated electromechanical systems and electromechanical motion systems.
- Based on fundamental engineering principles, predict the system level performance of candidate approaches and select the optimum approach to specific applications.
- Lead an integrated product development team to insure timely and successful project completion.
- Understand/interpret customer specifications and requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 25% depending on mission requirement. (historically has been 10%-15%)
Here's what you'll need to bring with: - Bachelor's in engineering
- 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience working in team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of motivation and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to access US export-controlled information
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
It would be great if you also had: - Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience
- MATLAB/Simulink expertise
- Active DoD Security Clearance

Salary Range Transparency:Santa Barbara, CA $100,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually
