Qualifications

• TS/SCI security clearance and US citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree with 14+ years of experience; Master’s degree with 12+ years; or PhD/JD with 9+ years of experience.
• 10+ years in systems engineering for complex defense/space/C3BM programs, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with MBSE tools like Cameo.
• Proficiency in SysML and frameworks like DoDAF/UPDM/UAF; familiarity with requirements tools such as DOORS or JAMA, and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct trade studies, manage interface controls, and perform risk analysis translating model findings into actionable steps.
• Excellent communication abilities for technical writing, model management, and stakeholder presentations, with a collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the lifecycle phases including concept, requirements, design, integration, and deployment.
• Develop and maintain MBSE models using SysML in Cameo to capture system architecture, behavior, and data flows.
• Lead the definition and decomposition of requirements while ensuring bidirectional traceability across various components.
• Conduct trade studies, analyses of alternatives, and risk assessments, managing system interfaces for interoperability.
• Support capability onboarding processes, change control board decisions, and model updates in different operational environments.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, cyber, and testing teams to enhance cohesive system design, presenting model-based documentation as needed.
• Manage model repositories and versioning while generating essential model artifacts like operational views and sequence diagrams.
