Full Job Description
Job Summary:

ITS, LLC seeks multiple Systems Engineers to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Systems Engineer is responsible for responsive and coherent planning, development and delivery of PARCS and UEWR radar hardware and software modifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports. This position is hybrid located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and mission requirements into integrated hardware, electrical, and system-level solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform systems engineering activities including functional analysis, requirements decomposition, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer requirements into electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software system specifications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), hardware specifications, electrical schematics, and system architecture products supporting complex mission-critical systems.
  • Support the design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of ground-based radar systems, sensors, and associated electrical subsystems that are critical to U.S. and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space surveillance missions.
  • Analyze and evaluate electrical systems, power distribution architectures, signal processing hardware, wiring interconnects, electronic assemblies, and communications interfaces to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical recommendations regarding hardware selection, integration methodologies, lifecycle sustainment strategies, obsolescence management, and future system modernization efforts.
  • Conduct hardware verification, validation, integration, and test activities, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), system integration testing (SIT), and operational readiness testing for complex defense systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and system-level faults using engineering analysis, test equipment, diagnostics, and root-cause corrective action processes.
  • Support configuration management, technical baselines, engineering change proposals (ECPs), and modernization initiatives for classified mission systems.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
  • Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
  • Experience maintaining national security mission networks.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 - 20+ years' related experience. (Multiple roles)


Clearance Requirement:
  • Active Secret security clearance
