You AreAn experienced systems engineer who can design, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise server environments. You bring hands on experience with virtualization, Active Directory, storage, and application support, and you work closely with cybersecurity teams to keep systems reliable and compliant.
How You Will Make an ImpactYou will support the design, implementation, security, and ongoing operation of enterprise servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and endpoint management solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, test, implement, and maintain server environments, applications, and enterprise endpoint management solutions.
- Troubleshoot server, virtualization, storage, system performance, and processing issues using hardware and software diagnostic tools.
- Support the planning and installation of new systems, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and related hardware.
- Work with Information Assurance and cybersecurity teams to meet DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, maintain security baselines, and address vulnerabilities.
- Deploy and harden Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environments.
- Implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations (COOP) plans, systems, and procedures.
- Monitor data center services and communicate status, service issues, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Support scheduled after-hours downtime and respond to system issues when needed.
- Maintain required documentation, complete assigned training
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Six (6) or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must have experience in server operations, including blade architectures, virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, application support, and storage solutions.
- US citizenship required
- Active secret security clearance required.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Proficient in English, written and spoken.
Bonus Points If- You hold a Microsoft MCSE level certification or have equivalent experience.
- You have experience with monitoring tools such as Riverbed or ScienceLogic.
- You have worked with technologies such as SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, or patch management.
SalaryDependent on Experience (DOE). Compensation will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
