Position SummaryMAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer Level III to join our organization. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. You will work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Assist with the planning, creation, testing, and implementation of mission capabilities. This position will be responsible for the support of deliverables to the Cross Domain Solutions team while they work to unify their specific command needs. The Cross Domain Solutions team requires to maintain compliance with DoD mandates or to achieve performance efficiencies and improvements by utilizing needs within the designated domains. Supports internally hosted advanced technologies and Government decision to transition to enterprise services in command with evolving needs for transgression across multiple domains. Oversees integration of new data sources to provide no major disruption to the architecture through each development cycle and maintain software schemas created for an updated structure. Includes architecting computer security aspects of the system where needed with the administrators of the system. Has the ability to work with all portions of the command and their requirements for different software solutions and their operations within the CDS. Develops, designs, and advises on Enterprise architecture, engineering, cyber data governance, technical solutions, and innovations to maximize the operational availability of the infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to support and field critical customer driven requirements, enabling secure data transfer
- Utilize interpersonal skills to engage directly with the customer to provide advanced design, analysis and implementation of software
- Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments, troubleshooting on-site technical issues, using and configuring the Everfox solution to deliver critical customer driver requirements
- Ability to support XML package generation and validation activities to include creation, testing, documentation, support, and refinement while working with all stakeholders
- Ability to create and test new schemas for enterprise software requests that require conversion
- Assist in system testing activities and test event support
- Review and analyze complex data types to identify relevant data fields for extraction
- Design and implement deeply nested various data type schemas from scratch, adhering to data modeling best practice
- Define field types, naming conventions, and hierarchical structures to accurately model nested and repeated information
- Will run tests, XSAT reports, and harden of all schemas to ensure the viability of the product provided
- Works closely with the administration team to implement the schemas on the Cross Domain Solutions within the enterprise
- Provides support to all associated enterprise CDS related duties for version upgrades or resets
- Assists with the creation and documentation related to filtering, file content inspection, and cyber data governance
- Assists as needed on the CDS team with extra duties related to command CDS architecture or implementation

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
- 8+ years of experience in a cyber engineer role supporting enterprise software solutions
- US Citizenship and Possess an Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- In compliance with DoD Cyber Workforce 8570.01
- Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, development environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
The minimum years of related experience required: Greater than 8 years’ experience
Education
Minimum level of education required: BS in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
Desired Requirements
The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
- Can support XML package generation and validation activities
- Demonstrates the ability to create and test new schemas for enterprise software requests that require conversion
- Experience with security COTS product integration (e.g., firewall, web gateways, Data Loss Prevention)
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with XML and data validation methodologies
- Can interpret raw documents and architect robust information models from scratch
- Possess the ability to identify the difference between required vs. optional fields, data types, field descriptions, and validation rules
- Possess the ability to encode, validate character sets, and file types
- Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments, troubleshooting on-site technical issues, using and configuring solutions to deliver critical customer driver requirements
- Experience with Windows scripting (Batch, PowerShell)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams
- Display detailed knowledge and understanding of multiple technology infrastructures.
- Ability to serve as a principal advisor on all matters, technical and otherwise
- Exhibit individual initiative to influence events and achieve goals. Be proactive and a self-starter, going beyond specific job responsibilities to ensure goals and achieved or exceeded.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for customer projects, technology exhibitions, and corporate meetings.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $97500 to $162500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
