Systems Engineer (Entry-Level)
Position Responsibilities:
- Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
- Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
- Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
- Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
- Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures. Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
- Support technical analyses and studies then provide recommendations.
- Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
- Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.
This position is expected to be fully onsite at Schriever SFB, CO and necessitates the ability to navigate the military base worksite where there are buildings without elevators and a long walk from the parking lot.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability and willingness to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
- Related engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
- If not already within commuting distance of Schriever AFB, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance OR Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
- Experience responding to anomalies for on-orbit communications satellites.
- Experience working closely with US Military customers in an operational and training environment.
Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range (Entry-Level - Level 1): $73,950 to $100,050
