Systems Engineer 4 - (Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, DCO)

Description:

Perform cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) mindset to perform DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities.

Perform long term, in depth vulnerability assessments leveraging systems engineering principles and knowledge, utilizing available information including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.

Perform independent verification and validation of security requirements and capabilities and incorporate systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents (e.g., Performance Work Statements).

Perform technical evaluations of contractor proposals for systems resiliency, security, and cyber security considerations.

As a technical leader, manage Sr. Systems Engineers directly, ensure they are fully utilized, and help build a strong systems engineering team.

Leverage interpersonal skills to foster customer relationships and gather insights, information, and documentation to support the mission.

Position Desired Skills:
  • Cybersecurity certification (e.g., Sec+, CISSP, CEH).
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160.
  • Familiarity with INCOSE defined life cycle systems engineering processes.
  • Experience with or knowledge of large-scale DOD systems.

SE4 Qualifications:

Minimum 15 years of system engineering experience (BS degree in STEM counts as 4 years; MS in STEM counts as an additional 2 years).

6 years as a system engineer lead with experience leading, managing, and collaborating with a broad range of organizations, groups, and teams.

Relevant BS degree in a STEM field.

Zero Trust experience.

Salary Range: $219k-$267k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
