  • Knowledge of system architecture, data flows, and workflows in complex technology solutions.
  • Ability to assist in monitoring and maintaining system health and status tools.

Responsibilities

  • Document user operations to inform test plan development.
  • Assist in documenting architecture, dataflows, and workflows for technology solutions.
  • Conduct outreach on reported issues to clarify and ensure completeness.
  • Ensure solutions, such as bug fixes and enhancements, align with customer needs through outreach.
  • Contribute to updating and maintaining system health and status tools with the DevOps team.
  • Monitor system health during duty hours.
  • Maintain architecture documentation by collaborating with team leads on ongoing work.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigations with team support.
  • Support TTO Lead in weekly status reporting.
  • Assist or lead documentation of release notes and Sprint activities.

Full Job Description
This position is currently at the SE0 level, though the customer may decide to change it to the SE1 level. Sourcing for both SE0 and SE1 candidates at this time.

We are looking for a System Engineer candidate with experience and interest in actively interacting with users to translate their experience with our technology stack into actionable work items.

Position-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Document user operations using front-end tools to assist in test plan development
  • Assist documenting the architecture, dataflows and workflows that make up a complex technology solution
  • Actively perform outreach for issues reported via our service desk to ensure clarity and completeness
  • Actively perform outreach to ensure solutions (i.e. bug fixes, enhancements, etc.) meet customer needs
  • Assist DevOps team with updating and maintaining System Health & Status tools
  • Assist monitoring the health of the system during duty hours
  • Maintain existing architecture documentation by working with team leads to understand impact of work in progress
  • Assist the team in identifying risks and mitigations
  • Assist TTO Lead with weekly status reporting
  • Assist team leads with Sprint activities: planning, ticket maintenance, retrospective
  • Assist team leads with or Lead documenting release notes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
