Systems Business Lead

In this role you will work remotely from a home office.

We are looking for a Systems Business Lead. The Systems Business Lead will drive the Systems Business Strategy and turn panel and system opportunities into a scalable growth platform. You will use panel opportunities as a door opener for broader Siemens value across automation hardware, industrial networking, cybersecurity, software, digitalization, and lifecycle services.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Executing the Systems Business Strategy and translating it into a scalable operating model for panels, cabinets, and adjacent system offerings.
  • Leading the hardware design team and establishing standard drawings, design rules, panel architectures, configuration matrices, reusable engineering templates, test specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Leading Systems Business Coordinators responsible for opportunity intake, bid support, customer requirement capture, partner alignment, documentation, and project handoff.
  • Building standard system offerings that improve proposal speed, design reuse, execution quality, margin transparency, and customer confidence.
  • Using panel and system opportunities to expand customer value through automation hardware, industrial networking, cybersecurity, software, digitalization, and lifecycle services.
  • Defining partner models, technical prerequisites, quality expectations, documentation standards, execution governance, and clear interfaces for scalable delivery.
  • Aligning Sales, Proposals, Engineering, Procurement, Product Units, partners, and Services around scope, customer value messaging, pricing inputs, delivery readiness, and pull-through opportunities.
  • Tracking and improving business performance through KPIs such as proposal turnaround, standard design adoption, partner performance, attach rate, margin, and pull-through revenue.
  • Making the Systems Business repeatable, partner-enabled, commercially scalable, and positioned to strengthen Siemens as the customer's preferred automation and lifecycle partner.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling a system, panel, cabinet, automation, or industrial solution business with measurable commercial impact.
  • Experience leading hardware design standards, including panel architectures, configuration matrices, drawings, quality rules, testing requirements, and reusable engineering templates.
  • Experience leading coordinators or cross-functional teams responsible for opportunity intake, bid support, partner alignment, requirements capture, documentation, and execution handoff.
  • Experience improving speed, quality, and margin transparency through standard system types, modular designs, reusable documentation, pricing inputs, and partner-ready execution models.
  • Experience managing business performance through KPIs such as proposal turnaround, standard design adoption, partner performance, attach rate, margin transparency, and pull-through revenue.
  • Aptitude to align and influence Sales, Engineering, Proposals, Procurement, Product Units, partners, and Services in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to expand systems or panel opportunities into automation hardware, industrial networking, cybersecurity, software, digitalization, or lifecycle services.
  • Strong understanding of partner prerequisites, technical interfaces, quality expectations, documentation standards, and scalable execution governance.
  • Experience turning one-off panel or system transactions into repeatable offerings that support long-term customer expansion and lifecycle growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect hardware design, standard offerings, customer value, margin, and follow-on commercial opportunities.
  • Ability create clear Sales and Engineering interlocks, partner execution models, governance cadences, or quality gates that improve proposal and delivery readiness.
  • Demonstrated business-builder mindset with evidence of creating scalable offerings and measurable follow-on business.

The pay range for this position is $102,459 - $175,644 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
