The Epic Payer Platform (EPP) Application Analyst (Systems Analysis Advisor) supports, implements, and improves Epic Payer Platform solutions that help healthcare providers and payers securely share information and work together more effectively. This role serves as a subject matter expert on EPP functionality and partners with business, clinical, operational, technical, and payer teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience with Epic Care Everywhere, healthcare interoperability, or payer-provider workflows. This person can turn business needs into effective system solutions, support testing and implementation activities, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to improve automation and information exchange.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Epic Payer Platform (EPP) functionality and payer-provider interoperability workflows.

  • Lead or support the testing, implementation, rollout, and optimization of EPP capabilities.

  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Epic workflows and system configurations.

  • Partner with operational, clinical, payer, and technical teams to improve workflows and develop solutions.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues and escalate them appropriately.



Qualifications:
Required:
  • Experience with Epic Care Everywhere and/or healthcare interoperability solutions.

  • Experience implementing, supporting, or optimizing Epic Payer Platform functionality.

  • Experience supporting application implementations, enhancements, upgrades, or major workflow rollouts.

  • Ability to gather requirements, analyze workflows, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, technical, application, and payer/vendor teams.



Preferred:
  • Experience with Epic Payer Platform capabilities such as CDE, Payment Integrity, ADT, eMPA, CRD/DTR/PAS, Coverage Finder, ID Card, RTE, HPCS, and Care Gaps Exchange.

  • Knowledge of FHIR and payer-provider interoperability workflows.

  • Understanding of X12/EDI transactions and healthcare data exchange processes.

  • Experience with prior authorization, eligibility, coverage discovery, claims, payment integrity, or utilization management workflows.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 106,100 - 176,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
