We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to administer the secure compute, operating-system, access, storage, monitoring, and operational environment for a Federal data analytics and AI modernization initiative.
The team will deliver a secure, scalable platform that integrates structured and unstructured data, provides data visualization and traceable AI-assisted analytics, and gives examiners centralized tools for search, review, monitoring, and decision support. The platform will support professional judgment and will not replace authoritative agency financial or grants-management systems or execute financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain secure compute, operating systems, identity and access, storage, monitoring, and infrastructure services.
- Configure, maintain, and harden Linux operating systems and enterprise infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, certificates, services, system configurations, and access controls.
- Perform system patching, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and configuration management.
- Support development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and incident response capabilities.
- Troubleshoot system, application, network, storage, access, and infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate with network, database, platform, security, DevOps, and application teams to resolve technical issues and maintain system availability.
- Develop technical documentation covering system configurations, administration procedures, security controls, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, and operational processes.
- Support secure and reliable operation of enterprise systems while maintaining security, privacy, and data governance requirements.
Required Qualifications- Experience administering enterprise systems and infrastructure in secure Federal or regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system administration, identity and access management, storage, certificates, system services, patching, and security hardening.
- Experience supporting development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Experience with system monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, applications, networking, storage, access, and infrastructure services.
- Experience coordinating technical issues across network, database, platform, security, DevOps, and application teams.
- Strong knowledge of system security, configuration management, and operational reliability.
- Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility.
- Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience administering systems in secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Advanced experience with Linux administration and system hardening.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Java and/or .NET application environments.
- Experience with Jenkins and self-hosted Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
- Experience supporting containerized or AI/ML workloads.
- Familiarity with open-source AI models and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring, centralized logging, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with Federal security, privacy, accessibility, records-management, and data governance requirements.
