Title:
Systems Administrator

KBR is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team onsite in our office in Niceville, Florida

The successful candidate will Provide Systems Administration support to the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) All Domain Test Range (ADTR) and INDOPACOM Pacific-Rim Multi-Domain Training and Experimentation Capability Team, Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Secret Network (JSN) Node, JMETC Multiple Independent Levels of Security Network (JMN) Node, Secret Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN), Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN);

As a SA, you will be a critical part of our team responsible for evaluating customer requirements on complex technical challenges. You will aid by providing solutions to complex problems in a manner which meets both functional and security requirements. You will handle keeping the team's testing environment operational and in compliance with all TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements. To do this you will often work with other distributed team members to discuss current system status and desired future enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the administration of computer systems hardware, network gear, software, information systems & peripheral equipment such as servers, desktops, zero clients, storage devices, and virtualization infrastructure.
  • Install, support, upgrade, and configure systems (Windows/Linux/VMWare/SQL Server, Horizon UAG, VDI) Maintain security and recovery procedures such as patching, applying STIGs, and performing backups of systems.
  • Administration of infrastructure including servers, zero clients, malware protection software, HBSS, syslog servers, databases, ACAS, etc.
  • Upgrade systems and processes as needed for enhanced functionality and/or security issue resolution.
  • Find potential risks or inefficiencies associated with the configuration of the system and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and TRMC cyber security program implementation plans following TRMC directives and applicable RMF requirements.
  • Authors and/or reviews team standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation to ensure consistent systems configuration and knowledge transfer to other team members.


Required Qualifications:
  • MUST HAVE an ACTIVE Top Secret
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Systems Administrator role
  • Education: Technical bachelor's degree (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Willing to travel up to 20%
  • Strong background in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization environments -VMware preferred (VxRail, vSphere, vDS, NSX) Strong Windows Skills (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Web Application Proxy, ADFS, PKI) Strong Linux Skills (Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, RHEL, Satellite, scripting, ansible playbooks) Strong documentation skills (Writing SOPs, Creating Networking Diagrams)


Desired Qualifications:
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure - Horizon, UAG, Provision and Maintain VM pools Solid understanding and experience supporting zero clients Experience supporting systems within a DoD Risk management Framework (RMF) accredited environment SIEM (Splunk, SolarWinds, etc.) Coordination, Communication and Presentation skills Layer 2/3 Networking experience
  • Firewall Experience DoD 8570 certifications (Security+, CISSP, Computing Environment)
  • Experience working with DoD Wide Area Networks and familiarity with various network architectures and common protocols to include:
  • Experience working with Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN)
  • Experience working with the Secret Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN) EPO (Trellix) experience - policy, agent updates, compliance dashboards ACAS experience - scanning, reporting, compliance dashboards
