Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator will be an experienced VMware/Microsoft Windows Systems Administrator responsible for system infrastructure, system patching and hardening, database management, and system automation. They communicate technical concerns and solutions to engineering and management. The systems administrator is responsible for leading IT projects and small process teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Day to day management VMWare/MS Windows network
  • Develop IT solutions to solve complex engineering problems
  • Develop application deployment processes to improve software delivery to end users
  • Assist with NIST SP 800-53F compliance and implement security controls as required
  • Responsible for interfacing with internal and Government Information Assurance and Cybersecurity teams
  • Assist with performing hardware scans, analysis, and documentation
  • Provide 1st level support for engineering and office automation tools

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience with VMware ESXi, VMSphere, VSAN,VCenter
  • Experience leading small teams or complex projects
  • Experience supporting RedHat, Centos or ubuntu Linux
  • Experience with Agile (Preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers
  • Knowledge of DISA STIG process/requirements
  • One year of experience managing a large windows domain

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Appropriate Level Cybersecurity Certification if required per DoD 8570/8140 (IAT 1-3, IAM 1-3, or positional certification as specified)
  • Active Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:
  • The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
