The Advana team is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their program
Advana is the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office's (CDAO) enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides all DoW military and civilian decision makers, analysts, and builders with unprecedented access to enterprise data, tools, and capabilities.
Systems Administrator
- Conducts configuration-management and environment-administration activities supporting Advana System operations for Department of Defense missions, Joint Staff analysts, Combatant Command elements, and Senior Executive Service leadership.
- Inventories all active components across Advana environments and tags each item with an authoritative configuration-item identifier recorded in the configuration-management database. Maintains configuration baselines for all nodes and enclaves and captures signed, immutable snapshots at the end of each Program Increment.
- Executes automated state-comparison jobs to detect configuration drift, flags deviations for remediation, applies corrections, re-runs validation checks, and updates configuration records to maintain accuracy and traceability.
- Retires and decommissions obsolete assets and preserves final configuration records for audit and lifecycle documentation. Provisions and hardens Development (IL2), Test (IL2), Integration (IL5/IL6/JWICS), Staging (IL5/IL6/JWICS), and Production (IL5/IL6/JWICS) environments using Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code tooling, applying required security baselines, STIG controls, and classification-specific configurations.
- Maintains CI/CD pipelines supporting secure code and configuration flow from development through production, incorporating static analysis, secret scanning, and vulnerability-assessment stages.
- Implements identity and access controls aligned with least-privilege principles for developers, testers, and operators.
- Configures continuous monitoring, logging, and SIEM integrations to support operational visibility and mission assurance. Execute routine maintenance, backup operations, disaster-recovery tasks, and change-control activities.
- Performs compliance validation, environment-health checks, and incident-response coordination to sustain operational readiness and program value across all Advana enclaves.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
- Certification: IAT III (CompTIA CASP+ CE, ISC² CISSP (or Associate), GIAC GCED, GIAC GCIH, or Cisco CCNP Sec
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience
- Security clearance level: TS/SCI Eligible
The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
