Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Systems Administrator, Advancedfor our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.

Job Overview:

The Enterprise Systems Administrator shall serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Department. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows:
  • Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources;
  • Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes orupgrades as needed to ensure optimization;
  • Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain processes that optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) andresources;
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systemsdocumentation;
  • Administer and configure Azure and AWS infrastructure security as needed for OIT staff and users;
  • Assist Azure and AWS application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate applicationaccess;
  • Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, andconfiguration changes;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Linux server issues with minimal impact on users;
  • Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory andAzure management activities.
  • Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements;
  • Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department'sinfrastructure team;
  • Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems; and
  • Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Windows server administration experience with three (3) years administering Windows 2016 and newer;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure and Cloud experience;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of AWS experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years administering Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Linux server management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts;
  • Experience working in virtual server and Cloud environments; and
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base;
  • Experience developing and managing schedules for multiple projects;
  • Experience working in the MS Azure Government and AWS clouds;
  • Experience with state government projects;
  • Experience managing and reporting project metrics in strict compliance with Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C.;
  • Experience working with technical programming teams;
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional can-do attitude with the initiative to solve complex problems;
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment;
  • Knowledge in other IT areas such as programming, data analytics, etc.;
  • Proven team player attitude with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic; and
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and organize and prioritize activities.

Education:
  • Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.
