Full Job Description
Leidos is seeking Systems Integration and Test Engineers to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the development of next-generation flight service and air traffic systems. This work aligns with the FAA's broader initiative to modernize legacy flight service capabilities, replacing aging infrastructure with scalable, cloud-based platforms designed to improve safety and operational efficiency, particularly in remote and high-dependency aviation environments. These efforts focus on delivering mission-critical, future-ready solutions that provide safety-critical flight services to the pilot community.

**Please note, this position is currently unfunded and is anticipation of future work.

As a member of a Scaled Agile software development organization, you will contribute to the technical execution of a program that integrates proven, globally deployed technologies with modern cloud-native capabilities. You will work alongside cross-functional teams and technical leaders to deliver predictable outcomes in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community. This position supports government programs and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust investigation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment.
  • Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues
  • Document and track system defects and verify fixes
  • Able to understand System Level Requirements
  • Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements
  • Perform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure system is properly configured and ready for testing.
  • Execute manual and automated regression test procedure after software modification, adaptation updates and lab patching
  • Work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2+ years of professional experience; or master's degree with relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
  • Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
  • Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers
  • US Citizenship


Desired Skills:

  • Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted development workflows and tools (i.e. Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
  • Knowledge of air traffic control systems, general aviation, and/or flight services
  • Practical knowledge of FAA/DoD systems, technical policies, standards and orders

Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
