Quecon is seeking a System Administrator to support the Adaptation and Automation team within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Candidate will be responsible for database administration, window systems and networking, security and compliance, serial communication and hardware, scripting and automation along with technical documentation. This position requires hands-on hardware support (non-virtualized environment) and provides critical technical support for lab-based operations.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident. Full-time position reporting to the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Egg Harbor Twp., New Jersey
Education requirements:BS in Computer Science, Math or another technical degree with 6 or more years of relevant job experience
Required Experience:- MySQL development and administration (example: stores procedures, database triggers and replication capabilities)
- CSV, and Excel files
- Microsoft Windows OS and network administration
- Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to follow applications regarding FAA security policies
- Good writing skills required for technical documentation and procedures
Preferred Qualifications- Batch file scripting
- Previous experience supporting FAA systems
Salary range: $68,000 - $95,000
