Position Summary:

The SVP, Information Technology & Enterprise Systems serves as the executive leader responsible for building an integrated, innovative strategy across enterprise technology, digital transformation, data governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology operations that enable scalable and secure innovation across the organization. The SVP ensures that infrastructure, enterprise applications, and data capabilities operate as an integrated ecosystem that advances the Alzheimer's Association's mission and strategic priorities.

This role partners closely with members of senior management and enterprise AI leadership to ensure the organization's technology infrastructure, data environment, governance frameworks, and enterprise systems effectively support responsible and scalable adoption of emerging technologies that accelerate mission impact, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance experiences for staff, donors, volunteers, researchers, and the communities served.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Technology Strategy & Digital Enablement

  • Develop and execute a multi-year enterprise technology roadmap aligned with the Association's strategic plan.
  • Partner with enterprise AI leadership to ensure technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and governance frameworks support scalable, secure, and responsible AI adoption.
  • Lead a team that establishes enterprise architecture, technology governance, and integration standards.
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on enterprise technology trends, cybersecurity risks, digital transformation priorities, and the operational implications of emerging technologies.


Technology Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee infrastructure, cloud strategy, cybersecurity, end-user computing, and enterprise IT operations.
  • Ensure systems reliability, data security, and operational resilience through strong business continuity and disaster recovery practices.
  • Support scalable infrastructure capable of enabling enterprise analytics, automation, and evolving digital capabilities.


Enterprise Technology, Data & Digital Enablement

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for enterprise technology capabilities that support organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and mission impact.
  • Partner collaboratively with leaders responsible for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, analytics, and digital platforms to ensure alignment with organizational priorities, enterprise architecture, governance standards, and long-term strategic goals.
  • Support the advancement of integrated digital capabilities, data accessibility, reporting, and operational efficiencies that enhance decision-making, constituent experiences, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Promote scalable, secure, and sustainable technology practices while helping to prioritize enterprise investments, governance approaches, and digital transformation opportunities across the organization.
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to align technology capabilities with evolving organizational and operational needs.
  • Specific functional oversight responsibilities may evolve based on organizational priorities and the experience of the selected candidate.


Financial Stewardship & Vendor Oversight

  • Lead enterprise technology and infrastructure related budgeting and long-range capital planning.
  • Manage strategic technology vendor partnerships, including emerging AI and analytics providers.
  • Ensure cost-effective investment in technology that delivers measurable mission impact.
  • Work with business owners to collaborate on financial and vendor oversight.


Organizational Leadership & Innovation

  • Build and lead a high-performing technology organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and responsible technology adoption.
  • Promote collaboration across departments to identify opportunities for digital transformation, process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Support organizational readiness for new technologies through change management, communication, and enterprise adoption strategies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data governance, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience enabling enterprise digital transformation initiatives, data modernization, and emerging technology adoption.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Master's degree (MBA or related).
  • Experience implementing advanced analytics programs.
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or research organizations.

Title: SVP, Information Technology &Enterprise Systems

Position Location: US Remote or Chicago, IL

Full time

Position Grade & Compensation: The Alzheimer's Association's good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $330,000-$350,000

This position is eligible for a bonus based on both individual and organizational performance, up to 20%.
