Full Job Description
What this job involves:

Amazon Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) is seeking a Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Manager to drive project management for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting projects across GREF's European operations. This role will lead end-to-end coordination of compliance deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and governance frameworks, translating complex regulatory requirements into structured, actionable project plans and high-quality deliverables. You will serve as the central coordinator for ESG compliance projects, managing multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining exceptional quality and precision. This position offers the opportunity to establish repeatable, scalable processes that will strengthen GREF EHSI's position as a model for structured ESG compliance coordination. This is a project management-heavy role requiring exceptional written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently across time zones and cross-functional teams.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for ESG compliance projects across multiple European countries, managing timelines, dependencies, stakeholder coordination, and work product delivery
  • Develop and maintain work-back plans, stakeholder registers, RACIs, process maps, and other audit-ready documentation for each project; track deliverables in Asana with proactive risk escalation
  • Produce clear, concise written and verbal communications to senior stakeholders-including leadership updates, external stakeholder outreach, and cross-functional requests
  • Coordinate with internal partner teams including data teams, legal, facilities management, sustainability, other Amazon business units, and third-party vendors
  • Establish compliance obligation-specific project frameworks for reactive and proactive compliance approaches, workflows, and governance, ensuring replicability and auditability
  • Partner with subject matter experts to analyze how regulatory requirements map to GREF's operations, then translate those requirements into structured, implementable project plans
  • Draft professional communications to internal and external stakeholders and coordinate across time zones (US, UK, EU) to align project teams and drive decisions.

Required Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, narrative-driven documents for senior/executive audiences and distill complex information into plain language
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams with structured plans, milestones, and stakeholder coordination
  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to read and interpret information, then recommend the most efficient and effective path forward
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to self-review work for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management ability to coordinate across diverse audiences, multiple functions, and various geographies
  • Independent operating style with ability to identify blockers, ask questions proactively, and flag risks early rather than waiting for direction
  • Fluent in English (required).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years' experience managing projects in ESG compliance, sustainability operations, consulting or similar fields in complex environments
  • Familiarity with European energy/ESG regulations (ESOS, EPBD, EED) and/or the ability to quickly understand and apply related requirements
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, or large-scale operations environments
  • Experience working in an Amazon or similar Leadership Principle-driven culture
  • ISO management system implementation experience (ISO 50001, ISO 14001)
  • Additional European language skills (Spanish, Portuguese).
