At CESO, the QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that survey documentation meets the highest standards of quality, code compliance, and integrity. A significant part of this position involves conducting thorough Quality Control reviews across projects, guiding teams in the application of surveying standards, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The QC Manager also develops training resources and mentors staff to promote consistency and excellence in execution. In addition, this position contributes to firm-wide quality initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to excellence. This position requires close coordination with project teams, technical leaders, and stakeholders to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist team members by providing technical direction.
- Serve as a Quality Control reviewer in the Survey Practice Area, overseeing the accuracy and ensuring compliance with company standards, and code requirements.
- Mentor surveying staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
- Suggest revisions and enhancements to company standards, CAD standards, and QA/QC processes, promoting continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and delivery of technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions tailored to the needs of developing surveying staff to enhance their understanding of surveying concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements- Bachelors degree in Surveying or related field is preferred; In lieu of a Bachelors degree, a Professional Surveyor license is required.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience is required.
- Professional Surveyor (PS) licensure is required.
- Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, BlueBeam Revu and other applicable software.
