Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification required.
• 5+ years of surveying and mapping experience essential.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with private land development and public works projects required.
• Strong understanding of California surveying regulations and municipal standards needed.
• Experience with construction staking, cost estimates, and boundary analysis required.
• Leadership, organization, and communication skills must be strong.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor survey staff and field crews.
• Manage surveying and construction staking projects from planning to completion.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Review and prepare survey documents including boundary surveys and maps.
• Coordinate project submissions with regulatory agencies.
• Support construction staking calculations and field operations.
• Perform boundary analysis, closure calculations, and legal description preparation.
